When Amy Schumer confirmed on Instagram today that she married her boyfriend of a few months, Chris Fischer, on Tuesday, our minds were filled with questions. When did they get engaged? How did she keep this a secret? Where did she get that beautiful Monique Lhuillier wedding dress?

Turns out it was an easy secret to keep, because the happy couple only decided to get married a week ago, Schumer's stylist, Leesa Evans, tells ELLE.com.

"It was very much like a hey we're incredibly happy together, let's get married next week," Evans says about Schumer's and Fischer's decision to wed.

"It didn't come as a surprise at all to me that they wanted to get married," Evans says. And the process of picking out the Monique Lhuillier wedding dress Schumer wore down the aisle—which you can buy for $5,490 at Nordstrom—was just as easy.

"It couldn't have happened a better way, because there was nothing about this entire process that ever felt stressful or nerve-racking or complicated," Evans says.

Evans first met Schumer when she was the costume designer on the Judd Apatow film Trainwreck. After shooting wrapped, Schumer approached her to be her personal stylist and they've worked together ever since and have become good friends.

So when it came to picking out a wedding gown, Evans pulled a few dresses and Schumer came over to her office to try them on.

"We went in and tried on the first dress and that is the only dress we ever tried on," Evans says. "It was so easy and so effortless. All she wanted to do was feel comfortable and like herself."

To go along with her exceedingly chill bride status, Schumer didn't mess around with complicated undergarments and decided to wear flats with the floor-length gown that hardly needed any alterations.

"Everything about it was just so simple and perfect," Evans says. "We both looked at each other and we said well, let's go with it and that's what we did."

While Schumer's bridal look was simple and beautiful, her sense of humor really came out when deciding to dress her sister, Kim, and her new sister-in-law, Molly, in classic pink bridesmaids dresses.

Schumer wanted to dress them as a "puff of pink… as a shoutout to bridesmaids everywhere, really," Evans says, so after landing on the Monique dress, Evans went online and picked out a "extremely reasonably priced" option for the sisters of the bride and groom to wear down the aisle and that was that.

"I love that they really did it in this very simple and magical way that we all just had the best time," Evans says. "I couldn't recommend it more to anyone and everyone to throw it together with love in your heart."
