Actress Elizabeth Hurley has updated her followers on the condition of her nephew Miles, who was stabbed in London earlier in the month.

On Twitter last night, Hurley shared a graphic photo of the stab wound.

On Twitter this weekend, the star said, "Wishing everyone a peaceful weekend. Thank you to all who sent such kind messages following the news that my nephew @mileshurley1 was viciously stabbed last week.

"His wound is shocking, he remains in great pain and he can hardly move, but he is slowly recovering. My sister is an amazing mother and is looking after him and his friend- who was also stabbed. I have just reached India but am receiving updates throughout the day.

"We need to make our streets safer and I want to be part of the movement to achieve that. I hope you will join me. More later."

Hurley also wrote in another Instagram update that Miles was found by a nearby policeman after the attack, who administered first aid before he was taken to hospital. The weapon missed his vital organs but he lost more than four pints of blood as a result of the stabbing.

The 21-year-old model has posted his own update as well, with a picture of the wound. Fair warning, this image is graphic.
