Ashleigh married Tom on 18 January 2014 in Argentina. Tom is from Adelaide, Australia and Ashleigh is from London so they decided to have the wedding somewhere overseas where everyone had to travel to rather than choosing between England and Australia. They had been together for five years, and Tom proposed 18 months before the wedding on a walk in North London's Queens Park. They opted for a long engagment so their friends and family had time to plan the trip and budget it in to their schedules.

For my wedding dress, I wanted something classic and timeless so opted for the Vintage Wedding Dress Company who do an array of fantastic wedding dresses and veils.
The dress needed to be lightweight too as I was travelling with it to Argentina and it needed to be cool for the mid-summer heat (35 degrees on the day).
For his suit, Tom wanted something in a bold colour which would be set off against the sunny summer vineyard landscapes - so went for this beautiful blue suit from Paul Smith.
I asked my bridesmaids to find a dress that they would be happy wearing on the day and would want to wear afterwards as well.
I was not fussed whether the dresses matched or not - I just wanted them to be comfortable. Laura found this red dress at Banana Republic and bought it, and Fiona really liked it too so bought one to match so they ended up matching after all.
Bodega Lagarde is one of the best wineries in the region, and one of the only wineries to offer large-scale catering and food with a 5-star reputation, so this was an easy choice for the venue.
The flowers were just a selection from Argentina. As we were getting married overseas, we didn't have the time to plan every last detail which actually made the whole day incredibly relaxing as we didn't have to worry about all the things that could go wrong.
I requested white flowers for all the decorations, blue and white flowers for my bridesmaids, and red, white and blue flowers for my own bouquet as they were the colours of our outfits (mine being white, Tom's blue and the bridesmaids in red).
A friend of mine gave me some really good advice for the wedding day and said to make sure that Tom and I took some time to ourselves, away from the crowds, so we could really appreciate some time together and reflect on what a wonderful day we were having.
It was really good advice because the day just slips past so quickly. One of my best memories was sipping champagne with my husband, looking over the vineyards, just before going to join everyone else for speeches and dinner.
In terms of décor, the venue arranged everything for us - as I said we were unable to organise details form overseas and didn't want to bog ourselves down with too much to worry about on the day which worked out really well. I knew the venue had done plenty of weddings and large events and was well renowned for its food and wine.
