It's not hard to flick through Instagram nowadays without feeling the shame and guilt at being bombarded with #eatclean images of acai bowls, quinoa porridge and kale…well, kale everything.

We've talked at length on ELLE UK about the importance of being 'food normal' instead of embarking on an obsessive clean eating spiral.

It's made even worse by the fact you're more than likely to end up scrolling through these pictures while battling a hungover on a Sunday morning  surrounded by crumbs and an empty box of mozzarella dippers.

However, a new tribe of Instagram girls are coming to the rescue, rebelling against perfectly poised images of breakfast juices and fruit bowls in favour of embracing indulgent, heavy and non-diet foods.

Everything in moderation, of course.

Gone are boastful posts about ashtanga yoga, the benefits of starting your day with a blueberry-cabage power juice and endless reasons as to why the NutriBullet is a desert island essential.

Welcome saliva-enducing images of burgers, oozing with crispy bacon and ketchup, pick-and-mix topped ice cream Sundaes and rainbow-coloured bagels

After all, there's only so much you can do with a sweet potato.

In honour of these Haribo-loving heroes, here are the food porn Instagrammers that have stolen our hearts…and our stomachs:

1. Sweet Mickie

Melborne-based cookie company Sweet Mickie started after its founder became increasingly annoyed with seeing green smoothies on social media and wanted to make a cookie that was 100% kale free.

Focussing on 'Taking the Mickie', the company creates buttery biscuits to fight back against the sugar haters with phrases such as  'I Quit Kale', 'No Carbs, No Fun', 'Gluttony is Back' and 'Kate Moss Lied'.

2. How Two Live

Australian fashion bloggers Jess and Stef Dadon have dedicated their Instagram account to posting shots of indulgent treats including Aussie biscuit favourite Tim Tams, chocolate-dripping freakshakes, cookie-covered donuts and cheese-coated chips alongside their fashion #inspo outfits.

3. Freshmen

With an Instagram description that reads 'We gain weight for a reason', US-based 19-year-old Sydney Greenberg and her five best friends created their Instagram as a way of celebrating the extra weight you gain in the first year of University.

The girls' account has amassed over 151,000 followers since it started over a year ago and features indulgent images ranging from Oreo waffles and sprinkle-coated fudges squares to slow-motion videos of ripped cheese toasties.

4. Girls With Gluten

Celebrating all gluten-filled foods, Girls With Gluten posts images of beautiful women from around the world shamelessly enjoying their burgers, cheese-filled crust pizzas and chocolate cake.

With a page featuring images of celebrities such as Rihanna, Cara Delevingne, Doutzen Kroes and Karlie Kloss, it's an online celebration of eating food for fun, showing you can be both beautiful and indulge on the finer things in life...like cheese.

5.Hungrybetches

Prepare to drool.

With over 328,000 Instagram followers, Ohio-based student Michele Mansoor created the food-loving account as a joke and claims her motivation for the account is simply down to her obsession with food.

Warning: If the words 'chocolate peanut butter cheesecake cupcake' and 'brioche ice cream sandwich' already have you falling into sugar-induced coma, you might want to take a moment before scrolling through this account.

6. Deliciously stella

One of our favourite women on Instragram to date has to be British comedian Bella Younger, a.k.a Deliciously Stella.

The 27-year-old's satirical account is the antithesis to #eatclean blogs, featuring images of her 'home-made' face packs of Nutella, workouts involving strapping Fab lollies to her stomach and explainations about how Party Rings are her nutrionist's recommended 'hole food'.

Our favourite quote? 'You can't milk an almond'

7. Hungrytwins

What can be better than a girl who loves a Nutella cheesecake crepe? Twins, that's what.

With over 270,000 followers, the Hungry Twins post daily images of grease and sugar-laden foods alongside hilarious captions such as, 'If we're not supposed to have midnight snacks, why is there a light in the fridge?' and 'If you can't handle me at my hungriest, you don't deserve me when I'm full'.

8. Girleatworld

We all know the best part of traveling is the chance to try exotic cuisines from around the world and know one knows better than travel blogger Melissa Hie.

From Arabic semolina cake from a Souk in Jordan to Hello Kitty donuts at a road crossing in Tokyo, Hie will have you racing to book your next summer holiday, stat.

9. Foooodieee

Long Island native Tessa Gluck created her foodie account after flicking through pictures on her way to work and instantly falling in love with the feeling she got on seeing a donut ice cream sandwich.

'I instantly started drooling, and realized that I wanted that same effect that I had to have on people that know me or don't know me,' she told Tote Magazine.

The account features everything from Oreo truffle peanut butter cakes to rainbow grilled cheese sandwiches.

10. Love_Food

Rainbow cake, a mountain of glazed donuts, churro ice cream cones - you name it and Love Food will have posted it.

The Instagram account has a whopping 6.4million followers and asks fans from around the world to tag #LoveFood for the chance to be featured on the increasingly popular page.

11.New_fork_city

Combining a love for food and photography, founders Natalie Landsberg, Gillian Presto and Emily Morse created New_fork_city during their last year of senior school in 2013 and dedicate their accoutn to posting images of sweet and savoury treats from around New York City.

The trio have since amassed over 671,000 followers and have since expanded onto Tumblr and created their own website, newforkcity212.com, which includes recipes and restaurant reviews.
