'After a night at Corsica Studios (where dancing is a 48-hour thing) I'd head to Duck and Waffle on the central line for a fancy 5am breakfast with a view. Or if I'm keeping it low-key I'll drop in at Bagel King (on Walworth road) which is open 24 hours. For treat jump in the pool at Shoreditch House after midnight, swim on your back, and look to the stars.

'It's not strictly on a tube line but my guilty-late night-pleasure is Canavan's in Peckham, or Tiger in Camberwell for a cheeky dance without the hassle of a club.'

Lena de Casparis, Culture Director

'London is all about the classics. For a late night glass of wine (or a caffeine hit) head to Bar Italia, one of Soho's few 24-hour spots, opened 1949. Much of the original fixtures are still there including the green neon sign and, espresso machine, and tiled flooring. Or after a night of dancing with friends, we'll grab a late-night table at Mangal Turkish, just off Kingsland Road, for a midnight dinner with a constant stream of Efes beers.'

'There's nothing but kebab shops open late in Leytonstone, so we've created our own venue, a secret speakeasy in the basement of our house – Bar Tropicana, where the drinks are always free.'

Natasha Bird, Digital Editor

'Just off the canal in East London The Oval Space  and  Islington Metal Works both do events that can go on until 5am.'

Late at night I'm most likely to be WAY too drunk or buying mozzarella dippers in McDonalds come 3am (the latter is more probable) but if I'm still going you'll find me at Tooting Tram And Social where they play cheesy 80s hip-hop till the early hours.

'Bethnal Green Working Men's Club is QUEEN heaven. Burlesque, Drag Queens, Naked Poetry. It's got it all and it's open LATE.
