Adele was forced to postpone her second concert in Phoenix last night after she fell too ill to perform. The singer was suffering from a cold for the past few days and said that pushing too hard during her recent shows took a toll on her voice. In the wake of the bad news, she proved she wasn't, however, too sick to tell her fans she was sorry.

The Brit posted a video on Twitter and Instagram last night apologizing to her fans for not being able to go through with the concert. She said with a croaky voice and messy bun:

Hello everyone, specifically everyone in Phoenix and Arizona, I can't do might show tonight—my second show here—I'm really, really sorry. I've had a cold for a couple days and I've been pushing through it, and I did my show last night and I loved it, but I pushed too hard and my cold has gotten the better of me. And as you can hear, even if I did the show, it wouldn't be very good. I'm really, really, really sorry to let anyone down. I've enjoyed my tour so much and cancelling shows is not something that I want to do, and I've pushed through a lot of things, but I've been trying to sing all morning and warming up, and nothing's really happening. I'm so sorry to let you down. I know lots of people were flying in from all over. It's the last thing I want to do, but I have to look after myself 'cause I've got so many more shows to do. I will reschedule this show, I promise you, and I'll come back and I'll smash it for you. I'm really, really sorry. Have a wonderful evening without me.

Adele later followed up with a more hopeful message, announcing that last night's show was rescheduled to Monday, November 21st at the same venue.
