It's taken me 7 series to perfect my Bake Off watching experience. I don't know why it took me so long but I've realised that in order to enjoy the programme on a heightened sensory level, you need the right accompanying snacks. Forget sing-along. This is eat-along TV.

It's truly torturous to settle in for an episode of Britain's favourite baking show with nothing but celery in the fridge. It just won't do.

So every week, we'd like to bring you the ideal serving suggestion for your viewing and eating pleasure.

Week 5 - Pastry

If there's anything better in this life than pastry, we haven't found it. With all the drama surrounding Bake Off in the last couple of weeks, what better way to comfort ourselves than with buttery, crumbly pastry goodness?

Week 4 - Batter

Is it wrong that our mouths are watering at the idea of eating raw better from the bowl? Ok fine, stop judging.

We're intrigued by what's in store for batter week. The possibilities are endless but we recommend these vegan white chocolate lemon cheesecakes. Almost too pretty to eat. Almost.

Week 3 – Bread

Bread's been given a pretty bad rap thanks to the carb-free, clean eating years but for those who still delight in dough, we're about to blow your mind.
