Back in the '00s, Mandy Moore was a teenage pop star, who went from watching *NSYNC on MTV before school to touring with the band in just six months, she told James Corden last night.

But as dream-like as that was, Moore hasn't forgotten one traumatizing experience with the boys: that time Justin Timberlake made her very, very insecure about her size-10 feet. As she recounted:

I remember distinctly one time walking backstage, and I didn't really see much of the guys because I was just the measly opening act—nobody cared about me. But Justin Timberlake was there, and he was talking—somehow there was a conversation about feet or foot size; they were comparing shoe size...all the background dancers—all the *NSYNC background dancers and my background dancers. And I stroll up at 15, like freaking out that Justin Timberlake is there, and he's like, "You have big feet for a girl." And I—I'm sure he doesn't remember this at all—but I was so impressionable and I thought like the world of him. He was on a pedestal. And I mean, 16 years later, it stuck with me so. It really scarred me emotionally.

Corden then offered a solid suggestion on how she should've responded:
