As if it weren't already clear from the teaser, trailer and super awkward promotional shots: Gilmore Girls is coming back! On Friday! With four new episodes!

In anticipation of the reboot, Cosmopolitan.com editor Elisa Benson and Woman's Day executive editor Annemarie Conte visited the real-life Stars Hollow for the Gilmore Girls fan festival and brought back a ton of behind-the-secrets for the Cosmo Happy Hour podcast.

Below, find the 6 things you never knew about Gilmore Girls, and get even more pumped for Friday:

1. Aris Alvarado, who plays Caesar, also played a Chilton student.

That's right. Luke's right-hand diner guy also played a Chilton student during the episode where Rory takes Dean to her high school dance. If you're still skeptical, check out the picture here.

2. One of the professors at Yale was also the show's dialogue coach.

Remember Professor Bell, Rory's professor whose class was so rudely interrupted by Logan and his friends?

Well, he was also the Gilmore Girls dialogue coach. "He was an actor first and got hired as the dialogue coach and then played the teacher," Conte says.

3. Certain costumes were used over and over and over again.

Ready to have your mind blown? The dresses used in the cotillion episode, where Rory is ~presented to society~, were then dyed and used in the "You Jump, I Jump, Jack" episode:

AND THEN, the same dresses were cut and used for the scene where Hep Alien plays at a bat mitzvah (skip to 1:32 to check it out):

4. Ryan Gosling originally auditioned for the show.

The casting director revealed that before Gilmore Girls, she had interviewed an incredibly talented young male actor who she always kept in mind for future roles. So, of course, she brought him in to audition for Gilmore Girls. But then when the guy came in, the audition fell flat, and the crew decides to pass. Turns out the actor was... Ryan Gosling. Who knew?!

5. The actress who plays April has a very specific reason for wearing red glasses.

When Vanessa Marano read that Gilmore Girls was looking for someone to play a quirky teenage girl, she knew it meant one thing: She had to pick up a pair of glasses. So before her audition, she went to a CVS and bought a pair of red eye glasses. And turns out, it totally worked, and you can see the same red frames on April throughout the show.

6. Jackson's last name changed in the middle of the show.

Ever notice that Jackson, Suki's food delivery guy and beloved husband, changed his last name in the middle of the series? During the festival, actor Jackson Douglas, who plays Jackson, revealed to Benson that his last name changed from Melville to Belville, though he doesn't think anyone noticed.
