Rosie Huntington-Whitely is a busy woman. Which is maybe why the supermodel, highly successful businesswoman, and ELLE's January cover star likes a quick-fire round of questions.

The cover star reveals everything from what she was doing at midnight last night to what's in her fridge and her favourite swear word.

Favourite childhood memory?

Probably my favourite is that every summer growing up we always had a litter of puppies. It was really fun, growing up with lots of dogs. We always had a border terrier, she'd have a litter every summer. My parents have dachshunds, all in total they have five dogs. I'm dying to get my dogs back to England.

Midnight last night you were…

I was FaceTiming Jay [Rosie's fiancée Jason Statham].

First paycheck?

I bought a car I never drove. It was a Ford KA, because I was 17 so I thought I would learn to drive but I was always off working by that point.

How would you spend your last £5?

If I really had only £5 left, I'd buy something really delicious to eat, then give half of it away. If I've only got five quid left, might as well feel good about it. I'd buy a slice of cake and The Big Issue.

What advice do friends come to you for?

I think work, actually.

What would you say to your 16-year-old self?

'It's all going to work out'.

And to your 70-year old self?

'Stay out later'.

What are you reading/watching/listening to?

I've just finished a coming-of-age story called Sweetbitter, which I really enjoyed. At the moment I am listening to Solange's new album, and – I'm so late to the game, I can't believe it, it's so embarrassing - but I just started watching Downton Abbey. So I've got a marathon of TV to catch up on.

Shot of choice?

Tequila.

Karaoke song

Anything by George Michael or Annie Lennox.

Have you ever had to claim insurance?

Yeah, I had a fender bender the other day.

What's the one thing you'd buy several versions of in your wardrobe?

Jeans, black ankle boots and lingerie.

What's in your fridge?

Nothing at the moment, it should be clean. As I'm on the road, it's not in my fridge, but I just got Elle Macpherson's super elixir, which I just started using. It's a green powder, put it in with water or coconut water and it has all your supplements - nutrients, and vitamins - and it actually tastes delicious! I can't believe it. She just sent it to me.

Favourite swear word

Fuck.

Describe how love feels?

Completed.

Workout playlist?

House music, or anything by Calvin Harris.

Fitstagrammers you follow?

Kayla [Itsines], Amanda Bisk, both Australian girls. I follow my yoga teacher Claire Grieve, The Body Coach and my brother [Toby Huntington-Whiteley] – who's a fitness instructor.

What's in your gym bag?

Come January, all of my Rosie for Autograph gym kit. The full length workout pants, I really love. The scuba jacket I think is really cool. And the high impact bra.

Will you do the whole crazy bride workout thing before you get married?

There are very few things I feel I get in specific shape for, I want to feel strong and fit always.

For me, if I have a lingerie shoot or a swimwear shoot I'll adjust my diet for a few days beforehand, and just make sure I'm not eating big burgers, or reaching for the bread basket in the run-up.

I want to feel in shape all the time.
