Jennifer Lawrence has strong feelings about New Year's Eve celebrations.
"I hate it. I hate New Year's. I feel like everybody is chasing a good time," she told Seth Meyers on the NYE episode of Late Night.
She shared similar feelings the year before as well. "I've never had a good one," she said on The Graham Norton Show in 2015. "I plan on doing nothing and then if something lands in my lap...but I always end up drunk and disappointed," she later added. We've all been there at least once.
So on December 31, 2016, while you were slipping on your slip dress and scrambling to confirm your last-minute plans for a night out, J-Law opted for a chill alternative and took a stroll in Central Park with her boyfriend Darren Aronofsky and her dog, Pippi—complete with bubble jackets.
The actress and director haven't made many joint appearances in public—they've been low-key since word of their budding relationship broke in October. However, this isn't the first time they've been spotted out together. In November, they were seen getting cozy on a date (also in New York) and engaging in some PDA.
Lawrence says she's never had a New Year's kiss at midnight, but maybe things turned around for her in 2017.
