From Iskra Lawrence's advocacy of self-love and diversity to Equinox's 2017 campaign 'Commit to Something', featuring a cancer survivor proudly showing off her mastectomy scars, we're dedicating ourselves to love and value our diverse figures this year.

Fortunately, plus-size clothing brand Lane Bryant is helping us on our journey to body positivity, as it has just released an athlete-focused advertising campaign that promotes confidence for the female form.

To release its line LIVI Active, Bryant has launched a four-part series featuring personal and inspiring stories from basketball player Julie Henderson, choreographer Jessie Diaz, triathlete Krista Henderson and yogi Jessamyn Stanley.

In the footage, the models are seen wearing the brand's active wear and sharing their tips on how to love their bodies, its strength and individuality.

Award-winning triathlete Krista Henderson – who started her athletic career in 2004 when a trainer encouraged her to live an active lifestyle instead of giving herself unrealistic goals to loose weight – says: 'What I love about triathlon is the variety of sports. You can trash your legs one day but still be ready to do a workout the next.'

'The community is so supportive,' she says as she's shown stretching on the machines and riding a bicycle machine. 'Everybody knows how hard it is to get to that place, to toe the line, and there's so much respect and love for everyone who does toe that line,' she adds.

Love, respect, admiration – you name it and that's what we're feeling for these women right now.
