When La La Land's Ryan Gosling was announced as the winner of the Golden Globe for best actor in a comedy or musical, Emma Stone's eyes were fixed on him. But it was at that moment, one table over, that Ryan Reynolds—who was also nominated—kissed Stone's ex Andrew Garfield as he took in his loss. It became one of the biggest moments of the night.
Stone was asked about how she felt about this after the show, during an interview with ET alongside Gosling and La La Land director Damien Chazelle. "What? They did not kiss each other!" she exclaimed in disbelief. "They did?!" She was shown footage, and had the obvious reaction: "That's hilarious."
"I mean, I'm happy for them, honestly, you know?" Gosling chimed in. "Good for them."
"I'm happy for them, too," Stone said, smiling, as the amicable ex she is.
