There may soon be a brand new Local Historic Landmark in Beverly Hills — but it's a mansion that's already in many few tourist's maps.

Taylor Swift has asked the city of Beverly Hills to designate her home, which she purchased for $25 million (around £21 million) in cash in 2015, as a local landmark. The mansion is known as the Samuel Goldwyn Estate, and was built in 1934 by (you guessed it) famous filmmaker Samuel Goldwyn Sr., reports the Beverly Hills Courier.

Here's what it looks like from an aerial view:

The six-bedroom, five-bathroom estate was designed by architect Douglas Honnold, and includes swanky features like a card room, theater, library and servants' quarters above the garage, according to Luxury Listings NYC.

Goldwyn's son, Samuel Goldwyn Jr., inherited the house after his father's death in 1974, and after his death in 2015, Swift purchased it.

Meetings were held by the five-member Cultural Heritage Commission to discuss the designation today — no word yet on the outcome.

We have a feeling, however, that the house will remain in the Hollywood history books for many years to come. Not only does it have rich historic value, but it also houses one of the world's most successful pop stars and entrepreneurs. Let's be honest: That's pretty landmark-worthy.
