Since the election, MuslimGirl.com founder Amani Al-Khatahtbeh has been inundated—with emails and texts from people who are scared they'll be further discriminated against under this new administration, with hate-laced tweets, and most of all with questions from non-Muslim women who want to know what they can do to help.

Al-Khatahtbeh decided to make a video to share with allies, giving them three simple ways to support Muslim women. Given that President Trump is expected to announce an executive order this week that will limit travel into the United States from more than half a dozen predominantly Muslim countries, the five-minute video feels more vital than ever.

"I know that many allies have voiced that they want to do something to help but don't know how, or they've taken part in supportive actions that aren't really effective in actually helping Muslim women," Al-Khatahtbeh explained in an email to ELLE.com. "I hope this [can] be a good reference point that empowers our allies to make a difference in simple ways literally from wherever they are."

The video outlines three direct actions allies can take to show up for Muslim women. Because while Al-Khatahtbeh takes care to explain that "Muslim women don't need saving," she reminds us all that they do need our support. If you stood with women at the Women's March this weekend, then you've realized already that our work isn't done. We'd better get used to getting on our feet.
