Stranger Things season two is a long while off (sigh), and Netflix is not making the wait any easier with its teasing.

Last week, there was the first full trailer for the next set of episodes, and now some first look images have just dropped.

From what you can see, it looks like Will Byers' (Noah Schnapp) trip to the Upside Down has left him in a very...strange state. After all, that slug vomiting was as big a hint as anything that things were going to get weird.

There's also another look at the four lead boys in Ghostbusters costumes from the first trailer, as well as Nancy (Natalia Dyer) and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) looking rather scared in a car – maybe there's hope for those still shipping the idea of them ending up together.

There's no sign of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), though it's confirmed that audiences will learn about her background in season two in an "emotional storyline."

These new pics could be a teasing compromise from producers, who have gone to Game of Thrones-level lengths to prevent leaks.

"We literally consulted with the producers on Game of Thrones to learn security protocols," executive producer Shawn Levy said.

"We had no security protocols last season and we have extensive security protocols this season. I can't speak about what they are because then people could crack them. We protect every story point, every page of every script."

Stranger Things returns October 31 on Netflix.
