TheSkimm, the media company behind the super handy newsletter, Daily Skimm, recently surveyed their audience of millennial women. They talked to over 10,000 people and found that young women are more tuned into hot button political issues than ever before — especially immigration.

For instance, immigration jumped from the 9th to the 3rd most important issue for female millennials, and 30-percent have stopped or started supporting a brand because of the company's immigration stance. Dishearteningly, 71-percent agree with Trump's policy of conducting stronger background checks on immigrants coming from regions with a history of terror, which is a bit of a bummer. Maybe they'd be wise to read about how hard it is to get into the United States already, and some of the scary tests Trump wants to subject immigrants to. (And if you're a refugee — forget about your dreams of freedom in the good ol' US of A. It's truly next to impossible. Seriously, watch this.)

Millennial women are also reaching out to their state and district representatives, with the number who have contacted an elected official tripling and the number who have signed a petition has nearly doubling. So at least that's good!
