The Walking Dead's Andrew Lincoln takes time off from mowing down zombies to warm our hearts in the very first teaser for Red Nose Day's Love Actually Comic Relief sequel.
Andrew reprises his role as Mark from the original comedy classic—only this time his cards are encouraging us to tune in to Red Nose Day for the Love Actually sequel 14 years in the making.
Keira Knightley (Juliet) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Peter) will also be back for the special to solve the original movie's lingering love triangle cliffhanger, as well as Hugh Grant (David), Martine McCutcheon (Natalie), Liam Neeson (Daniel) and Colin Firth (Jamie).
Lucia Moniz (Aurelia), Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Sam), Olivia Olson (Joanna), Bill Nighy (Billy), Marcus Brigstocke (Mikey) and Rowan Atkinson (Rufus) will also feature, but one key cast member who won't be back is Emma Thompson.
Thompson—who played Karen—revealed that she chose not to participate in the reunion because it was "too sad [and] too soon" following her on-screen husband Alan Rickman's death.
Unfortunately, we won't be meeting up again with Kris Marshall's self-proclaimed 'God of Love' Colin Frissell in the sequel either—but writer-director Richard Curtis reckons that Colin's "in prison now." Probably best not to catch up then...
Written by Curtis himself, Red Nose Day Actually revisits the much-loved characters in the present day, 14 years after the events of the 2003 movie.
Production has been underway across the UK over the last month, with cast members flying in from in from around the world to film their bits with Richard Curtis and director Emma Freud.
For example, Andrew Lincoln dashed across the Atlantic from the set of The Walking Dead outside Atlanta to shoot a scene with supermodel Kate Moss last week. Definitely worth the trip, in our book!
When the Red Nose Day sequel was first announced, Andrew Lincoln said he was hugely excited to be revisiting Mark and his romantic cards—but promised "no spoilers" before premiere day.
"It's fun and going to be really great to see everyone again," he beamed. "It's very exciting. It's a very cool thing."
