Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski got married in secret last Sunday. The two announced their engagement in September last year and are currently expecting their first child together.

"We eloped," Sadoski told James Corden on The Late Late Show. "We just took off into the country with an officiant and just the two of us, and we did our thing."

He said that they wrote their own vows for the wedding, describing the ceremony as "perfect".

"It was everything that it should be," he told a delighted Corden. "It was just the two of us talking to each other."

He added that they then took their pet dog, who was the only witness, for a walk through the country and went home.

"Listen, she's the person I love, admire, respect most in the world," he said.

The couple met in 2015 while they working on Off-Broadway drama The Way We Get By, in which they played lovers who had a one-night stand. Sadoski was in the midst of ending his relationship with his wife of eight years and Seyfried was still dating Justin Long, so they didn't get together until they started filming The Last Word months later.
