Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal are currently costarring in Life, a thriller about an alien life form that terrorizes a group of scientists on a space mission, but the two took a break from the tension and drama of the film and let out some unrestrained laughs―in an interview. After promoting the project in back-to-back Q&As for a press junket, they went off the rails a bit during their sit-down with FOX 5's Kevin McCarthy.

First, McCarthy began the interview with a gift. He offered the costars with Deadpool tie clips, since Reynolds starred in the film and Gyllenhaal was apparently a fan. The latter sarcastically tossed the bauble over his shoulder, sending his costar in stitches:

Then, they revealed they actually had their names labeled on their chairs. "We're idiots!" Gyllenhaal exclaimed, admitting he actually sat in the wrong seat when he walked in the room, even though the chairs were named:

Elbow, Wrist, Cook, Chef, Cuff, Cooking, pinterest

They promptly turned the tie clips into makeshift earrings:

Things seemed to calm down a bit when McCarthy started asking about creating the opening scene, which was filmed in one shot. After comparing it to a video Gyllenhaal recently starred in (from his new Broadway stint in Sunday in the Park with George) he asked what that process was like.

"I love big oners," Reynolds answered with an endearing nickname for the shot. That was instantly turned into a NSFW innuendo that both actors couldn't not help but laugh about:

After a stream of uncontrollable laughter, Reynolds took charge and help the room settle down with some strong words. "Hey, f*ckers, let's get it together, or let's get out of F*ck Town, alright?" he said. Gyllenhall obviously did not take that very seriously:

But the antics soon started again when the two plotted a prank on their next interviewer. Jake joked that he'd take the name tag off his chair so people would think Ryan preferred to have his things labeled like a diva. Reynolds was on board:

They ultimately ended up putting their name stickers on McCarthy mid-interview:

Suit, White-collar worker, Businessperson, Formal wear, pinterest

After they finally answered McCarthy's question about filming a continuous shot (a.k.a. the "big oner"), Gyllenhaal impersonated Reynolds from a scene that we'll probably find later on in the blooper reel. "We're all going to die!" he said in an overly dramatic tone:
