Mindy Kaling might just be at the heart of a Twitter love story, with none other than New Jersey Senator Cory Booker.
A Time reports, their Twitter flirtation (or maybe just Twitter friendship—only time will tell) began when Booker tweeted to Kaling about a recent episode of her show, in which her character, Mindy Lahiri, gave him a shoutout. She also kind of, sort of dissed Newark, but he didn't hold that against her.
What followed was the kind of exchange worthy of, well an episode of The Mindy Project.
Kaling accepted Booker's offer for a dinner date, along with a perfect joke about the PATH train. Booker, ever the gentlemen, offered to spring for a Lyft for the actress.
It's like a real life rom-com.
