La La Land had audiences all around the world falling in love with Emma Stone, including one Phoenix high school student who hopes to catch her eye by channeling his inner Ryan Gosling.
Taking over-the-top promposals to new levels, 17-year-old Jacob Staudenmaier recently recreated the opening scene from La La Land in his high school's parking lot in order to ask the Best Actress winner to prom.
Clearly well-aware of how unlikely it is she'll say 'yes,' Jacob is all self-deprecating humor and charm as he dances and sings his way through the choreographed number alongside his friends.
Sure, the video is a little cringe-y at times, but as Emma herself sang: 'Here's to the ones who dream, foolish as they may seem.'
