Beyoncé VMAs 2016 Nominations | ELLE UK

As if to make up for the fact that she didn't grace the world with her presence at the Met Gala last night, Beyoncé has a new surprise for us today. The Queen is releasing a collector's box set version of Lemonade, just days after the first anniversary of its release. It's available now for pre-sale on her website.

With a retail price of £232 ($299.99), it's no small purchase, even for members of the Beyhive. But each "How to Make Lemonade Box Set" is made to order, and features the first pressing of the double LP vinyl, audio and visual downloads, and a 600-page hardcover coffee-table book.

The books, which will be numbered, will contain hundreds of previously unseen photos from the recording of Lemonade, interspersed with Beyoncé's own notes and lyrics. An intro is written by Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, an op-ed writer for the New York Times, and includes poetry by Warsan Shire.

The release of the box set isn't the only way Beyoncé has marked the anniversary of her landmark album. Last week, she launched Formation Scholars, a scholarship program for young women studying art, music, literature, or African-American studies at four participating universities.
