Amandla Stenberg has come a long way from playing Rue in The Hunger Games. The actress' latest movie is a teen romance, Everything Everything, out on May 19. Ahead of its release, Amandla released her R&B cover of Mac DeMarco's acoustic track from 2014, "Let My Baby Stay," which is on the movie soundtrack.

This is her first single, and she directed and edited the music video herself. In the video, Amandla dances around as people are preoccupied with their phones. "Please don't take my love away," she sings, "Let my baby stay." It's the right sentiment for the movie, which revolves around Maddy (Amandla), an 18-year-old who has to live in a hermetically-sealed environment because of an illness and Olly (Nick Robinson), the boy next door who falls in love with her anyway.

Watch Amandla's new video and the movie trailer, ahead.
