Dwayne Johnson was just inducted into the Saturday Night Live five-timers club in the best possible way. In his opening monologue, Johnson announced that he would be running for President in 2020, alongside the most perfect running mate ever, Tom Hanks. As Johnson quipped, he previously assumed he wasn't qualified for the job, but now he feels as though he's too qualified, if anything. Laugh, or else you'll cry.

Johnson and Hanks ran through the reasons they'd be great in the White House. For instance, both have a plethora of experience appearing in films about fighting in wars, or saving the world from impending devastation. And as Hanks announced, "No-one can seem to agree on anything anymore, except for two things," with The Rock finishing his sentence, "Pizza and us." True story.

As well as having fun with the idea of running for President, the pair made some serious points. First, Johnson joked that he'd get the minority vote, "because everyone just assumes I'm... well, whatever they are."

Then he stated, "When it comes to politics, we need more poise, and less noise. Americans deserve strong capable leaders, leaders who care about this country and care about its people." And if that doesn't bring a tear to your eye, do you even have a heart?

And as if Johnson and Hanks' skit wasn't enough, SNL's Weekend Update segment dubbed Trump "President for now", which was totally brilliant, and apt considering the most recent scandal concerning Comey and Russia.

Now that Season 42 has come to a close, the world is going to be a much more terrifying place, without SNL to satirize the unbelievable political events of 2017.
