After months of speculation, it has finally been revealed that Queen Elizabeth II has not only watched The Crown, the Netflix show that chronicles her reign, but that she likes the series.

According to a "senior royal source" of British publication Express, Her Majesty has now viewed the full first season, which delves into sensitive topics including her father's death, the Queen's complicated relationship with her sister Princess Margaret, and her marriage to Prince Philip.

The source told the paper that the Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, the Countess of Wessex "love" The Crown and were finally able to convince the Queen to give it a try.

"It has been a longstanding arrangement that they drive to Windsor at the weekend to join the Queen for an informal supper while watching TV or a film," the source said. "They have a Netflix account and urged her to watch it with them. Happily, she really liked it, although obviously there were some depictions of events that she found too heavily dramatized."

Other members of the royal family have also recently shared their thoughts on the show.

Earlier this month, Princess Eugenie admitted that she is a fan of the series. "I did watch a couple of episodes of The Crown. It is filmed beautifully," the Queen's granddaughter said.

"The music is wonderful, the story is beautiful. You feel very proud to watch it. I can't speak for everyone but that's how I felt when I watched it."

Mike Tindall has also said that he and his wife Zara are "addicted" to the program, reports Express. "She's brilliant, the one who plays the Queen. I think it's a great show in terms of how they delivered it."

No word yet on whether they're the royal family has plans to watch the second season of the series, which is expected to debut in November. The next chapter of The Crown will cover roughly ten years, culminating in 1964. It will also reportedly focus on the men in the Queen's life.
