Pitch Perfect and The Hunger Games star Elizabeth Banks is bringing Charlie's Angels back to the big screen in a brand new movie – and it's now got a release date.

Sony has confirmed that the film will hit cinemas on June 7, 2019, however there are currently no details on who'll be leading the cast.

Farrah Fawcett-Majors, Cheryl Ladd, Kate Jackson and Tanya Roberts were the first Angels in the original TV series, which ran from 1976 to 1981.

Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore had two successful movie outings in the 2000s, though Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh's ABC show was canned after just four episodes.
