You may know that officially, Katy Perry (@katyperry) is the most-followed person on Twitter.

With a storming 99.2million followers, the "Swish Swish" singer is a good few million ahead of Justin Bieber (95.7 million) and Barack Obama (89.2million), and comfortably ahead of her rival Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13, 84.3million).

But interestingly, despite what the numbers say, Katy does not have the most human followers – at least, not according to twitteraudit.com.

According to the website, which works out how many of someone's followers are actually bots and therefore fake, only 32% of Katy's followers are genuine.

Who is the person with (apparently) the most real Twitter followers, then?

You guessed it: Taylor Swift.

Bear in mind that none of this has been officially confirmed. But compared to Katy's 32%, twitteraudit.com says that a massive 88% of Taylor's followers are real – the highest percentage out of the other top ten most-followed Twitter accounts.

This means that, if we subtracted all of the "fake" followers, Taylor has a very nice total of 74.2 million followers, while Katy languishes behind with 31.7 million – which puts her at only ninth place.

Katy and Taylor have been involved in a feud since a disagreement over backing dancers in 2013. Taylor wrote the song Bad Blood, while Katy's Swish Swish – which the singer said was an anti-bullying anthem – is also rumoured to be about their falling out.

Most recently, while on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke, Katy said she would be open to a truce.

"Honestly, it's really like she started it, and it's time for her to finish it," she said.
