Priyanka Chopra has done the Baywatch villain thing. She's played a CIA/FBI agent on Quantico for two seasons. What's next for the woman who plays "in charge" perfectly? Let it be known: DC Comics, if you ever want to gender-swap one particular franchise, Chopra is ready. "I would love to play a superhero," the actress told ELLE.com at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic Saturday. The male role she'd most want to do? "Batman!"
Chopra stands by what she said about playing the first female James Bond, too. "I said it would be great to see a female Bond in my lifetime. If it's me, then that's great. But if not, then whatever; in my lifetime, I hope to see it."
Chopra is generally drawn to projects with strong female characters (Variety reports she's in talks to join two films: A Kid Like Jake and Isn't It Romantic). "I've always looked for parts that are empowered a little bit, you know?" she said. "It's the quality of a part that always matters. It should pop. It should have something for you to creatively sink your teeth into."
Off-screen, Chopra looks to power women for fashion inspiration. "I really do like people who have a point of view when they wear their clothes, and they're not just like followers," she explained. "I like people like Rihanna, for example. She has such an amazing point of view when she dresses, and I think that's really cool. I used to love Audrey Hepburn. You know, classic, but yet her personality. It's just people like that."
