Thanks to a heavy reliance on lip-syncing and Auto-Tune, pop stars of the '90s often don't get very much credit for their vocal prowess. But please check yourself when it comes to Britney Spears, because she can sing—and sing well.
The stripped-down vocals from "Toxic" (a heavily Auto-Tuned song) were just released, and while, sure—it's not Whitney Houston-level stuff–The Princess of Pop can definitely hold her own, and her vocals are pretty close to those of the actual song.
