If we just take a moment to pretend The Chosen One is in his bedroom, making no noise and pretending that he doesn't exist, then everyone can focus their attention on the real hero of Harry Potter – the brooding tortured bad-boy that is... Draco Malfoy.

Yes, Tom Felton's character originally came across as the spoilt Slytherin bully, but by the final films, fans are forced to feel sorry for Draco – who clearly didn't want to kill Dumbledore for the Dark Lord – hence Professor Snape (RIP) stepping in.

What if "Scared, Potter?" was actually a deflection from himself? A young boy forced to grow up into a family of Death Eaters?!

Anyway, in a deleted scene from Deathly Hallows: Part 2, this point is proven, completely changing the narrative for Draco Malfoy, who many fans thought should have been redeemed in the books.

In an unseen clip, Draco can be seen publicly denouncing Lord Voldemort and his followers and helping Harry by chucking his wand at him prior to the final showdown.

The deleted scene was released along with a batch of them a few years ago, including a clip which features Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) planning a Gringotts break-in.

It comes after JK Rowling responded to one fan on Twitter who suggested reading the Harry Potter books from the perspective of Draco Malfoy in the best way...

Ten points to Slytherin.
