Adele paid a visit to Grenfell Tower firefighters to thank them for their work in tackling last week's tragic fire. The Grammy Award-winning star stopped by Chelsea Fire Station to for "a cup of tea and a cuddle".

One of the firefighters, Rob Petty, shared a series of images on Facebook, describing the singer as "wonderfully grounded and caring".

The blaze, which took broke out on Wednesday 14 June in Kensington, west London, claimed the lives of 79. The death toll is expected to rise.

Adele quietly visited victims of the fire the day of the disaster, offering her support and condolences. She didn't publicise the visit, although onlookers shared pictures of her at the scene.

A number of stars - from Celine Dion to Stomzy - have come together to record a charity single to go towards victims of the fire. The track - a new version of Simon & Garfunkel's Bridge Over Troubled Water - will be released tomorrow Wednesday, 21 June.
