The new trailer for Game of Thrones' upcoming seventh season just dropped. No more "Winter is coming" jokes, guys. WINTER IS HERE.
The two-minute trailer shows Sansa striding purposefully as Littlefinger advises her to "fight every battle" in voiceover. Jon seems to be beyond the wall, Cersei is glowering as only she knows how, and Daenerys has a war map of the Seven Kingdoms at her fingertips—as well as her dragons, of course. We finally get to see Brienne and Podrick, and Bran—and honestly, we were getting worried, because we didn't see them in the last trailer. Phew.
The theme of the trailer seems to be banding together in order to be stronger. "For centuries our families fought together against their common enemy, despite their differences" says Jon, clearly trying to persuade someone to come over to Winterfell's side. "We need to do the same if we're going to survive." And he's not the only one convinced that more is better. "The lone wolf dies, but the pack survives," says Sansa. Indeed.
There's less than a month left until the HBO series returns, on July 16.
