Kelly, unfazed, quoted his tweet, replying, "....and still fucking awesome."

Her fans had a field day with that, applauding her with a parade of GIFs.

"I don't obsess about my weight, which is probably one of the reasons why other people have such a problem with it," Kelly told Redbook back in 2015. That same year, when conservative British media personality Katie Hopkins made headlines for criticizing Kelly on Twitter for her "carrot cake weight," she wasn't even aware of all the buzz it made.

"I'm awesome! It doesn't bother me. It's a free world. Say what you will," she told Heat magazine, "I've just never cared what people think...It's more if I'm happy and I'm confident and feeling good. That's always been my thing. And more so now, since having a family – I don't seek out any other acceptance."

A true American idol.
