Emily Ratajkowski has almost exclusively never said a wrong thing about feminism and sexuality. Primarily, because she speaks to her own experience, her own decisions, and her own opinions without passing judgement on other feminists. But as they do, certain terrible people have awful opinions about her opinions, which they share, loudly. It's as if they are offended that a woman so successful as a model should also be successful as a public speaker, activist, and essayist. How dare she!

Ratajkowski put it more simply: "It really bothers me that people are so offended by breasts," she told Allure for its August 2017 issue. "That's when I realized how fucked our culture is. When we see breasts, we don't think of beauty and femininity. We think of vulgar, oversexualized images."

She continued: "To me, any expression that is empowered and is your own as a woman is feminist. If a woman decides to dress sexy, it doesn't mean she's not a feminist. [We] should be doing things for ourselves. If that is the woman's choice, and it makes her feel good, then that's great. Good for her."

Ratajkowski's expression of herself is smart, sexy, and unafraid of those who think it's their god-given job to criticize her. Maybe, hopefully, that's one step towards fixing the fucked up culture.
