Princess Charlotte wasn't going to let older brother Prince George steal all of the attention during the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's ongoing European royal tour.

The adorable two-year-old was photographed arriving in Berlin holding her very own bouquet of flowers before inquisitively smelling them, while three-year-old George was looking a little bit camera shy.

Charlotte also performed her very first royal duty by giving a diplomatic handshake as she and the Duchess of Cambridge were officially welcomed to Germany.

George, who appeared sleepy and not in the mood for photographs, sported navy shorts and a pale blue shirt. Prince William looked formal in a navy blue suit with a pale blue tie.

At the beginning of their visit on Monday, George had to be cajoled off the plane by Prince William after they landed in Warsaw.

It's reported that the Duke and Duchess' five-day tour is part of their unofficial roles as Brexit ambassadors, as they try and strengthen the UK's ties with Europe as the country prepares to leave the EU.

During their visit in Germany, Kate and William will visit to the Brandenburg gate and Holocaust Memorial, before attending the Queen's Birthday Garden Party at the Ambassador's Residence. Prince William is expected to give a speech at the reception.
