In a new interview with Australia's Today show, Katy Perry was put on the spot when host Richard Wilkins brought up Taylor Swift and their feud. "I mean, I love her, I always have. We've had our differences but I just continue to say, 'God bless her on her journey,'" Katy said in a clip released Wednesday (via Entertainment Tonight).
If you are sensing a weird tingle of déjà vu at the "God bless her on her journey" line, that's because Katy has said this before. Just weeks ago, Katy surprised Katycats and Swifties when she offered an apology to Taylor. "I am ready to let it go. I forgive her and I'm sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her," Katy said on the Thrive Global Podcast. "There's a lot of other things out there in the world that people need to be focused on. God bless her on her journey. God bless her. Honestly." Two days later, "God bless her on her journey" appeared in song form when Katy made a slight change to "Swish Swish" during a livestream concert for her new album Witness.
As with everything Katy has said about Taylor since promoting Witness earlier this summer, Taylor has offered nothing in return. Instead, she's been busy promoting other people's music on her Instagram. Her Twitter account remains mostly untouched. And Taylor hasn't been photographed out for the most part (minus a crazy giant suitcase transport rumor).
