In April 2015, Robert Pattinson's girlfriend, singer FKA Twigs, was spotted out with a sparkly ring on that all-important finger. Over the two-plus years since, Pattinson never addressed whether their rumored engagement was real...until today. Sort of.

During his appearance on Sirius XM's The Howard Stern Show, Pattinson was asked upfront whether he and Twigs are engaged. "Yeah, kind of," Pattinson replied to host Howard Stern.

"Kind of?" Stern said. "Wait 'til she hears this..."

The couple's engagement was initially confirmed two years ago by T-Pain in an interview with Vulture, but the pair have remained mum on the details ever since. In August 2015, a source confirmed to People that the wedding had been postponed because Twigs "couldn't decide on what wedding she'd like to have."

Pattinson explained to Stern that he has been protective when it comes to his relationship with Twigs due to the intense public scrutiny that he's under. When the couple first began dating, Twigs revealed that she received "relentless" racial insults on social media and that "there's no amount of songs I can sing or dances I can dance that will prove to them I'm not a monkey."

"It's one of the most frustrating things in the world," Pattinson said today, "because you want to be able to do that [show PDA], but to get kind of stuck in a position where, like, you have to make the decision... Do you want to let kind of crazy people in, because for whatever reason with Twilight, there's like, a crack troop of crazies who think every decision you're making is creating some kind of conspiracy. And so you kind of think, to protect it, I want to create a big boundary between it, but then it makes it difficult for your actual relationship."

The actor went on to gush about Twigs and called her "amazing."

"She's super talented and from a totally different world," he said.
