Miley's parents, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus, have had a significant impact on the singer's views on love. In her new cover story for Cosmopolitan, the 24-year-old shares the biggest lesson she learned from her mom and dad: "Nothing and no one stays the same. Grow, evolve, change with each other and celebrate your love's journey."

Though the Cyruses' advice is universally applicable, it's especially relevant for Miley, since she and her longtime partner Liam Hemsworth might be hearing wedding bells in the future.

Though the couple have been on and off since 2009, they announced their engagement in 2012, but broke up the following year. After separate flings, they got back together at the end of 2015/early 2016, and Cyrus confirmed that they were engaged again in October. Since then, the two have slowly been making more joint public appearances and showing PDA on social media.

<p>Hemsworth and Cyrus met back in 2009 while filming <em data-redactor-tag=" em"="">The Last Song, which sparked a friendship-turned romance. On July 6, Miley shared throwback shot on Instagram of the couple kissing on set. "Happy #InternationalKissingDay! πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹ Our first smooch 8 years ago! ❀️❀️❀️," she captioned the photo.

Acknowledging that she and Hemsworth have separated and reunited on several occasions, Cyrus has expressed her feelings on their needed hiatuses. "People that break up and get back together, I think that's awesome because you know it's true," she explained in an interview with Sirius XM's Hits 1 back in May. "But, also you get time to be yourself. You get time to grow up," she added.

Miley recently penned a tribute to her relationship with Liam through her latest song, "Malibu." Her beau not only inspired the hit, but he also photographed her cover art for the single. 😍
