In the one year since exes Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had their Instagram comment fallout heard 'round the web, the two have mostly dodged being at any public event together. (No small feat given they were both nominated for several of the same music awards.) But on Saturday, a higher calling brought them together into the same room. The two were spotted at the Zoe Church Conference in Los Angeles.
On Friday night, Bieber was there with another ex in the room: Hailey Baldwin. They appear to have both attended Sunday as well—and Baldwin was there for at least some part of Saturday's session too, as she tweeted about Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr's sermon that afternoon:
Whether the Biebs talked inside with Gomez or Baldwin is unclear, but Baldwin was apparently pretty close to him at one point:
Baldwin, Gomez, and Bieber have all talked individually about being Christian in interviews (Bieber even allegedly canceled his Purpose tour because of his renewed faith and rumored desire to start a church).
Baldwin and Bieber are publicly single. Gomez is now dating The Weeknd—a pairing Bieber at one point made clear he didn't support. And while Gomez and Bieber left separately Saturday, the two are on good enough terms that Gomez complimented Bieber in an interview earlier this summer. Time (and perhaps faith) truly is the ultimate healer.
