James Corden has revealed that Linkin Park's Carpool Karaoke won't air unless Chester Bennington's family wants it to.

The band had filmed an episode for the TV spin-off of James's popular The Late Late Show sketch just days before Chester's tragic death last month, and James has spoken to the Associated Press about whether it'll be aired.

"We will approach it in whichever manner his family or the people that were involved in that episode, however they would like it to be handled. We consider it not our decision to make," he explained.

"We will navigate it as delicately as possible and just adhere to whatever wishes they would want because I don't think there's any other way we could deal with it… It's a tragedy."

The decision has been welcomed by Chester's widow Talinda Bennington who shared the quotes on her Twitter account, writing "thank you."
