WARNING: This post contains spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 7.

You weren't imagining the chemistry between Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow this week on Game of Thrones.

In the season's fourth Inside the Episode video, Thrones showrunner David Benioff hinted at a budding romance between the Mother of Dragans and Jon Snow, who—up until their dimly-lit cave scene together—were not exactly getting along.

In "The Queen's Justice," Daenerys requested that Jon "bend the knee" to form an alliance with him and regain control of the Seven Kingdoms. The strong-headed rulers reached an impasse when Jon refused her request, and Daenerys refused to believe Jon about the White Walkers returning. Needless to say, not a lot of progress was made.

In Episode 4, "The Spoils of War," the pair finally came to an agreement, and Dany told Jon that he and his men could mine for dragonglass at Dragonstone to use against the White Walkers. While exploring the dragonglass caves together—with some serious torch mood lighting—sparks flew between Dany and Jon, according to Benioff.

"They're starting to be attracted to each other," Benioff says in the video. "And so much of it is not from dialogue or anything we wrote. It's just the two of them in a small space, standing near each other, and us just watching that and feeling the heat of that."

Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, hinted at their relationship, as well.

"He walks into the room and doesn't expect to see such a beautiful young woman of similar age to him," Harington said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "Any young man's reaction is going to be, 'Okay...' but he puts that aside, because he has to."

And yes, Jon and Dany are related, as we learned in the Season 6 finale, "The Winds of Winter," that R+L really does equal J (Rhaegar Targaryen + Lyanna Stark = Jon Snow). Daenerys is Jon's aunt by blood, so it's okay if you're uncomfortable with the idea of them them pursuing a romantic relationship.
