If you thought Taylor Swift's Instagram purge of ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris would be the most dramatic edit of her social media accounts, today, you were proved wrong. This morning, the singer quietly deleted all her Tumblr posts, hundreds of tweets, and all icons and banner art from her social media accounts.
On Instagram, she started by removing her art:

It looks like on Twitter, Swift wants her next tweet to be her 1,000th. Briefly, all her tweets since 2011 were deleted:
But now, her most recent 999 have been restored, meaning her tweets from November 5, 2011 and before are gone.
And Swift's site has been blacked out as well:
No explanation WHY has been given yet, though some believe this could be her way of silently announcing her next era in music is coming soon. Selena Gomez has notably used a similar method when unveiling her new singles, although she has only changed her social media art and has never deleted masses of old posts.
Swift, with her sneaky "13" easter eggs on her Instagrams, does everything with purpose...one we'll no doubt see in the hours/days to come.
