Though JAY and Kanye haven't been on great terms for awhile now (presumably since Kanye went off on him and Beyoncé on stage at a concert in November of last year), their feud popped back into the public eye when JAY-Z came for Kanye on his new album in June. Now, for the first time, JAY-Z addressed the root of their problems.

For context, in his 4:44 song "Kill JAY-Z" he raps:

I know people backstab you, I feel bad too / But this "fuck everybody" attitude ain't natural / But you ain't the same, this ain't KumbaYe / But you got hurt because you did cool by 'Ye / You gave him 20 million without blinkin' / He gave you 20 minutes on stage, fuck was he thinkin'? / 'Fuck wrong with everybody?' is what you sayin' / But if everybody's crazy, you're the one that's insane.

When asked by Rap Radar what was going on, JAY-Z responded "You got hurt, because this guy was talking about you on a stage," referring to Kanye's concert jabs. "But what really hurt me, you can't bring my kid or my wife into it. … We've gotten past bigger issues, but you brought my family into it, now it's a problem with me."

He went on to say he and Kanye "knows [he] crossed the line. He knows. And I know he knows. 'Cause we've never let this much space go between one of our disagreements and we've had many. That's part of who we are."

If that weren't bluntly honest enough, JAY-Z also addressed his current relationship with Solange (you know, because they fought in — you know): "We've always had a great relationship… We've had one disagreement. Before and after, we've been cool," he told Rap Radar. "That's my sister. Not my sister-in-law, no, my sister. Period."

@JAY-Z, while you're spilling all the tea, will you let us know how Rumi and Sir are doing? Or how Blue is enjoying big sister life? Or, like, how in the hell Beyoncé is?? Thanks!!
