Céline Dion's return to the spotlight has given the world delight after delight, but her latest public appearance has brought something no one could've expected: a brief Rihanna cover.
While you might expect this to happen at, say, a concert, but instead Queen Céline broke out into a bit of Rih classic "Diamonds" while presiding over the launch of her line of handbags, a collab with the Bugatti Group, in Montréal:
Céline took some fan questions at the event, and one fan asked her about her current dating life. To that, she answered, "I'm enjoying myself. I went through a lot. At this time of my life, going back a few years back when it was so hard, I feel as though I can spread my wings."
And then she followed up with a snippet of Frank Sinatra's "The Best is Yet To Come" before following that up with a familiar Rih line: "Shine bright like a diamond." Sure, it's possible that she just happened to think of the line apart from Rihanna's rendition, but that's pretty unlikely, non?
