Not content with staring directly at the sun during the eclipse, Trump has now re-tweeted a meme of him blocking former president Obama with the caption "best eclipse ever!".

Yes, just in case you ever wondered what the president of America is up to at 8:33 in the morning - it turns out he is cracking up at memes.

It was originally tweeted by political YouTuber and pro Trumper Jerry Travone - whose Twitter username is CNN IS FAKE NEWS, naturally.

However, as Dan Pfeiffer pointed out the joke is well and truly on Trump.

Don then followed up the meme with a series of tweets stating how "fake news" was "complaining" about his recent speeches when in fact he had been "dynamic and fun" and "respectful and strong".

You know, "respectful" Don who said they were "very fine people on both sides" during a nazi attack.

It's not the first time Trump has posted a seemingly bizarre internet creation of himself either. You may remember this GIF of him wrestling CNN to the ground that he posted back in July?

Maybe the president should consider a career in social media instead - just think of all the GIFs he could make.
