Gwyneth Paltrow has introduced Goop's inaugural magazine by posing semi naked in, well, goop. The actress-cum-businesswoman stars on the cover in a pasty mud-like substance wearing only a pair of pants.

In her editor's letter, she also reiterated the benefits of one her more controversial wellness methods - bee sting treatments, which she says help diminish cesarean scars.

"The doctor stings you [with a live bee] like it's an acupuncture needle," she explains. "I had it done on my cesarean scar… I had some buckling in the scar, and it really evened it out."

If the idea of bees stinging your body doesn't grab you, Paltrow has another simpler route to happiness.

"For me, when I take my shoes off and walk in the grass, it's so healing," she said. "It's hard to find scientific evidence for the idea that 'I feel good.' But by trying, you get so much juice out of life."
