Game of Thrones left fans wanting more after a strong seventh season.

That's not to say it was perfect―of note, Jon Snow's "capture the wight" storyline was criticized for being a tad on the implausible side.

While it was important for certain events to happen in order to set up the final season, the trip beyond the Wall came across as clunky and contrived. But it turns out that there is one simple change that some fans believe would have fixed the plot.

What if it was Cersei Lannister's idea to kidnap the wight?

Put together by YouTube channel Media Muse, they suggest that the wight storyline would make more sense if it was initiated by Lena Headey's character.

Imagine if Jaime Lannister had been fished out of the lake by the Dothraki and captured by Daenerys Targaryen in episodes 4 and 5.

Using Jaime as a bargaining chip, Tyrion could have persuaded Cersei to agree to a truce until they deal with the White Walker threat.

But before she goes along with any truce, she would demand proof of what lies beyond the Wall. And that's when Jon Snow―despite reluctance from those around him, knowing the dangers of the mission―would take it upon himself to go on the expedition.

And then it's as you were. Viserion dies, Jon presents the wight at the Dragonpit, Cersei double-crosses everyone, and the Night King tears down the wall with the revived dragon.

The jury's out on whether or not this would have improved season seven―but it's definitely an interesting idea.
