Emma Stone has spoken before about dealing with anxiety during her childhood. But on Stephen Colbert's show last night, she opened up about how early she started therapy to manage it. "I was a very, very anxious child, and I had a lot of panic attacks," she started. "But I benefited in a big way from therapy. I started at seven. It [acting] helped me so much. Improv helped me so much. And I still have anxiety to this day. Not panic attacks, knock on wood."

That's when she and Colbert made it clear that the only recent panic attack they've had was Donald Trump-induced. "I had one on November 8," Colbert said.

"Listen, so did I, so did I!" Stone immediately replied.

Stone was a Hillary Clinton supporter during the 2016 election—and last night, she happened to appear on Colbert's show right after Clinton's interview with the host. "Who was that? Who was that before?" Stone joked as she first sat down.

"Uh, that was a woman who filled you with a lot of hope," Colbert replied.

"Yeah, me too. This is a tough act to follow."

Stone would later confess to Colbert that she had one grievance with the photo she had taken backstage with Clinton: Her choice to wear a strapless dress while posing with t-shirts. "I get a chance to meet Hillary Clinton, which is unfathomable and incredible, and I look like I'm nude," she quipped when he held up the photo.

But Clinton and anxiety weren't the only things Stone discussed. She also talked about sexism, becoming an athlete to play Billie Jean King, and feeling like an "asshole" (her words) at the U.S. Open:
