After years of fueling Sex and the City 3 rumors, Carrie Bradshaw a.k.a. Sarah Jessica Parker completely extinguished them last night. The movie was so close to happening but now will never. "It's over… we're not doing it," Parker told Extra. "I'm disappointed. We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It's not just disappointing that we don't get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie."

Parker's confirmation comes one day after The Daily Mail reported that Kim Cattrall, aka Samantha, and her "outrageous demands" were the reason the movie—which the outlet claimed was days from shooting—didn't happen. And Samantha kind of is but not for that reason, Cattrall clarified on Twitter. "The only 'DEMAND' I ever made was that I didn't want to do a 3rd film," she wrote in a tweet. "And that was back in 2016."
